With time drawing down, many sacrifices have to be made. For one thing, getting enough sleep is becoming more and more of an issue. It doesn’t come at much of a surprise though since it is a recurring theme at this time of the year. Fortunately however, a lot of progress has been made on our GDW game. We’ve started to put everything together and it’s shaping out to look quite nice.
Last week I wrote about finishing up the character rigging, and since then I have been able to construct a variety of animations that have all been added into the game. One thing I had not realized at all and was pleasently surprised by was the fact that we have to ability to have blending between animations. This makes my job much simpler because it means I don’t have to rely on transition animations to make everything look smooth, which is a huge relief. I know that a couple of my group members were also working on additive blending would would be even more awesome. Uncharted style animation in our GDW game? Hell yeah!
